I removed all vm from shared SAN datastore shared with 3 esx hosts. I originally planed to reformat the datastore and reuse.
I tried to unmount from vcenter but was grayed out. I unmounted from each esx host successfully. Then in vcenter was datastore inaccessible. I tried to delete but failed. Probably because inaccessible. So I tried again mount on each ESX but no status was changed after that. So I rescan storage and datastore is gone. However LUN ID is still visible for each ESX host.
What should I do to bring the datastore back?
