Just upgraded to 6.7 from 6.0. Have a nice warning on my new vcenter appliance regarding CEIP being disabled:
The current status of the Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP) is disabled. Online health checks are not available if CEIP is disabled.
I don't want to enable at this time. How can I suppress this warning? I know it is possible to suppress many warnings, how can I stop this one?
Thanks
vCenter > Configure > Alarm Definitions
Set "vSphere Health detected new issues in your environment" to "Disabled"
vCenter > Monitor > Health
Warning still shows up on this page...
I don't think disabling "vSphere Health detected new issues in your environment" is a good idea since it will disable ALL issues that might help you.
@VMware could someone please answer this? There are many cases why one doesn't want to join CEIP (policy) or cant join CEIP (no-internet). Why issue a warning for it?
I would also like an explanation or assistance with this... same issue after going from 6.5 to 6.7 verbatim.
Would definitely be good to get some feedback from @vmware about this as we have the same issue
This is fixed in 6.7U3
