I have 2 hosts that have been getting the "host storage status error". Not sure where to start to try to troubleshoot this issue. I am running ESXI 6.5 on 2 Dell Servers.
That often means the CIM sensors are picking up something. Check the Monitor tab of the host to see what errors show up. Check events also for this host. If these are Dell, look in your iDRAC to see if there are storage events that show.
Thanks for the reply.
All I see in the monitor tab is "Host storage status"
I check my iDrac's and see no errors.
Isn't there a log file under /var/log... I am not sure what log file i am suppose to be looking at.
My issue doesnt appear to be a problem caused by my internal SSD's.. I completely removed the drives and the datastore and i still get the same error.
I was wrong about my last post...
So I removed all my SSD's in my host thats throwing the error. I then formatted the SSD's cleared the config and then re-inserted the SSD's back into the server. Interestingly enough the same error came up as soon as I put in a SSD in drive bay #6. What specifically would be causing this issue?
