Host connection and power state message

Hi

In the summary section of one of our nodes, I see "host connection and power state" in a red/pink box. I tried to figure out what does that mean in the alarm definition, but don't know is that a bad thing or not. Currently, VMs are up on the nodes and users have access to them. So the node is not in sleep mode. I also have verified that via the ESXi interface.

Any note?

You will sometimes run across this issue if a host has intermittently disconnected from vCenter but later re-connected. You can go and look at the event history for this host and know what exactly triggered that response.

That means, host got disconnected and reconnected back.  Check if the alarm is triggered after clearing again which can give more hints whether it is a one time disconnect or a frequent one.

thanks,

MS

Is there any way to export the events in an Excel format? I see the events in the list but from vsphere interface.

I don't see the EXPORT icon.

I believe the export is available only on Flex client and not html5.
