Host Profile remediation fails on a new host. Cluster with a DRS/Strage DRS fully automated.

Hi,

I am adding a host to the existing cluster with DVS, DRS and Storage DRS. Pre-check remediation shows a green mark to go ahead and fails subsequently.

Error shows many parameters were incorrect like DNS/Number of Virtual NICs in distributed switch, PSA device configuration etc where as all fields exisits in the profile, which is extracted from a running host. Tried extracting from different running hosts, still unable to succceed. Upon remediation, the hosts loses connectivity and observed gateway missing. But editing the profile shows all fields existing.

Anyone has come across such a situation and succeeded ?

Can you uncheck the override default gateway option on the management vmkernel and try the same host profile?

Under IP Route, added a Generic Static Route Profile, solved the issue.
