Help required Patching ESX Hosts on version 3620759

I would like to understand the process of patching without update manager. We are currently on 3620759 and need to patch the esx hosts, looking at searches how do i know what latest patch set to download etc.

Any help really appreciated.

Ok so seems pretty straight forward so the new build is 6921384 so i just download the newer version and install from 3620759. Is that correct?

You get the patches to install, not a full build of ESXi. Then follow the KB to use esxcli to install the patches.

ok i got you, i looked for the build number which then guided me to the patches for that build number which was about 700m in size which i upload to the datastore then use esxcli command to install and reboot
