Hi all,
We have the following equipment which we have installed ESXI 6.7 on to.
DL360 Gen 10 (vCenter)
2 X DL380 Gen10 with
HPE Smart Array P408i-p - 6X 900Gb Disks in Raid 1+0 + 1 900Gb Online Spare
HPE Smart Array P408i-a SR - 2X 300Gb Disks in Raid 1 + 1 300Gb Online Spare
onboard Nics (4) and 366FLR 4-Port NIC (8 in total)
I have used the HPE Custom ISO July 2018 for Esxi 6.7 for the installation and vCenter.
Having installed all the devices, and have them connected and synced to the vCenter. I can see everything is working, i am able to create/use datastores on the arrays, nics function normally. System status is green with no alarms on the system itself.
I have a couple of issues which are:
I have followed this article: VMware Knowledge Base which has not resolved my issue.
Does anyone know if:
Thank you for any assistance.
Joe.
The issue occurs if you have ILO5 firmware version 1.30. Downgrading the version to 1.20 resolves the issue.
See:
HP BL460c Gen 10 - vCenter 6.5 U2c
6.5 shows warning for hardware
Looks like this is a known issue with the HPE iLO firmware -

Ah!
Thank you.
I'll wait for the next firmware release and confirm it has been resolved when that is released.
Thanks
Joe.
Can confirm that iLO version 1.20 also fixes the issue - I'm running that one of my systems at the moment to check the issue.
We still don't get any disk information like we used to int he Status Monitoring tab - A limitation with the web client?
We do get the system UID warning which i guess is sufficient to let us know there is a problem and go looking in the ilo.
I've attached a screenshot of what im used to seeing in ESXI 4.1 - Seems like the webclient has gone slightly backwards?
Cheers
Joe.
