Global Inventory Lists - Virtual Machines - EXPORT (Automate)

Hello. New here so I'm hoping I'm posting in the right place.

Everyday I manually download .csv file of all Virtual Machines via process described here: https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/7.0/com.vmware.vsphere.vcenterhost.doc/GUID-C0E8DD52-677E-...

I'm currently looking to automate this process. I tried REST API using python, but that only gets vm name, cpu, mem, vm id. Searching on the internet I found that people are using PowerCLI to automate this. But I'm doing this on linux (without gui) server. Is there a way to automate this without PowerCLI, at least just to download that .csv file directly on my server via some script? Than I can manipulate it later using python and get what I want.

Version of vsphere is 7.

Bumping this, I'm interested in a way to automate this too.
