Is there a handy way to do this, i cant see it with current login and tried logging onto the appliance itself with root but couldn't
Couldnt log on to web client with root just looking for a quick way to clarify cluster ips
Thanks,
Hello,
Root user is used to login to the vCenter server management page (https://vcsa.local:5480) and directly to the console.
In order to log into the web client, you would have to use the user administrator@vsphere.local or any other administrator users configured.
Options to check the VCSA IP Address:
Virtual Machine summary tab would have the IP Address of VCSA.
nslookup of VCSA FQDN would provide you the IP Address from any windows Machine.
In webclient, Under administration >> system configuration >> nodes >> management tab would provide the details of IP Address.
Do clusters in VMware have IP addresses? We have 3 clusters set up in 6.5 starting to think that they dont have them
I have the IP addresses of the vCenter VCSA and the hosts
According to below link this is not the case
Do you mean to say the Host and VMs are inaccessible from vCenter server.
Cluster specifically is not assigned with any IP Address. Its just he vCenter servers IP Address.
Could you share a screen shot of the cluster... And the details which you are trying to achieve on the cluster or vCenter server...
