Fault tolerance on traditional SAN

Hi everyone,

I am researching on Vsphere 6.5 fault tolerance for a design and I would like to check whether anyone has experience setting up FT on traditional SAN, e.g. VNX, Clarion storage.

We use FT and because it requires a VMware HA Cluster all what you need (storage wise) is a shared storage which is visible on all nodes. It doesnt matter what kind of storage or vendor you have. But there is one important note about FT 2.0.... it makes a copy of all vDisks and you have to specify a 2nd. location for that. So dont place all eggs into the same basket aka LUN/Datastore.

Joerg
