So on FT Failover or Restart Secondary, the Secondary is effectively powered off for up to 48-hours, leaving me with no FT protection for that period. There is also a warning about HA Restart in process whenever an FT event or test occurs.
It's a 2TB SQL Server with 4vCPU and 16GB RAM and fairly high I/O running on Nutanix hybrid with SLOW spindles and not enough SSD
I have seen this in the vmware.log of the VM, while the secondary is taking up to 48-hours to restart:
2020-06-12T15:10:48.597Z| worker-33626847| I125: SVMotion: Enter Phase 8
2020-06-12T15:10:48.598Z| worker-33626847| I125: Disk/File copy started for /vmfs/volumes/c0cd6020-2dc10cb8/PHUSMB-SP360101/USNYCS-AA780101_1.vmdk.
Does it really need to copy all 2TB for each HA event, even ones that don't affect storage?
