Explanation of VGT

Hi there,

I believe I have a decent understanding of VGT. I've used VST at my previous employer, but inherited a system that is exclusively using VGT. So I get the whole vlan id 4095 setup for a standard vswitch and the trunking is correct on the physical switch. However, I'm not finding much documentation on the setup on the VM itself. Would I need to do Nic Teaming? I really just need a verification of what VMware means by "configure the vlan on the guest ethernet settings".

Your sending the tags to the guest os, instead of the vswitch removing them, so you would treat it like you would a physical server that would need to work on that vlan.  For example for redhat

You should create a sub interface.
