Exception Error when browsing NFS 4.1 datastore

Hello all,

I am making a Virtual HomeLab with a VmWare ESXi 6.5 Server.

After adding a datastore, an NFS v4 share hosted by a Synology DS216, I can see it hosted in the GUI but it is impossible to browse it.

I have no issue mounting and browsing (multi-pathing option enabled) the NFS share on my laptop.

Here is the exception error (PIC 1 and its details PIC2) in the ESXi GUI when trying to browse the datastore.

1) Upgrade the host client to the latest version - ESXi Embedded Host Client

2) Since the ESXi is still on a version below 6.5 U1, you can use the vSphere client to connect to the host - http://vsphereclient.vmware.com/vsphereclient/5/1/1/2/5/0/8/VMware-viclient-all-6.0.0-5112508.exe

Thansk you SupreetK,

It now works. Via SSH, I installed the two VIB packages the ESXi server :

  • VMware_bootbank_esx-ui_1.31.0-9277095.vib
  • VMware-Remote-Console-10.0.0-Linux.vib
