Esxi 6.7 low end network boardhi

Hi all

I am setting up my first esxi system.

In have a Realtek board which is not recognised by the system.

Can you suggest me a low end board to install in order to make the installation moving forward ?

Thanks in advance

Realtek board?

DId you check if your hardware is compatible?

Check it here:VMware Compatibility Guide - System Search

A "low" end board can be almost anyone, even a custom PC (anyway, check the comptability).

hi Diego and DbAlcatraz

Thank you for your reply.

I looked at the compatibility matrix.

Currently I found only NIC of about 200$ of cost.

I was wondering if you know a low end NIC bord(20-40 $) to suggest to me.

This in my first test system and not a real server.

Thanks

Lucio

ESXi is designed for server-class hardware and not PCs and laptops. While some few have been known to work, it isn't many. Either buy some used server hardware or search here and buy some components that are known to work successfully.
