Esxi 6.5 Standard - Cluster Configuration

Does anyone have any steps or guides to create a Cluster using ESXI 6.5? I've been looking through several whitepapers, but I do not have the options to create a dataceneter or a new cluster? Is there something that I am missing? The current version that I am running on is 6.5.0 (Build 4887370).

This are the options that I have:

Yes you would have to install vCenter server.

You can install vCenter server appliance on the same host as a virtual machine.

Download VMware vSphere

Hello,

The option that you are trying to configure is a feature of vCenter server.

On a standalone ESXI server you would not get this option.

do you have vCenter?

Without it, you can not do anything.

First of all, at least two ESXi hosts are added to vCenter, after which a cluster can be created. Shared storage system of course you need. Or vSAN.

Ok, so to be able to create the cluster I would have to stand up a VCenter server? We are a Hyper-V shop, but are looking at switching to VMWare, so I am building a test environment to evaluate it.
