Error "File /vmfs/volumes/623b2373-7e7dd75e-69ef-d06726b87aa8/AAAAA.vmdk was not found"

Hi folks,

I´m using vSphere Client version 7.0.3.00300 and when deploying a new VM from an existing Template I got this error: "File /vmfs/volumes/623b2373-7e7dd75e-69ef-d06726b87aa8/AAAAA.vmdk was not found".

I´ve checked on the datastore and the file AAAAA.vmdk is there.

Any ideas on how to solve that ?

Thank you

Something's strange here. According to your reply (the error message), the VM/template is expected to be stored in a separate folder, but the second screenshot shows the files in the datastore's root folder.

Did you modify the error message, and remove the VM's folder?

Anyway, does the folder also contain the required AAAAA-flat.vmdk file?

Hello @a_p_ ,

Yes, I did modify it to post, the original is: File /vmfs/volumes/623b2373-7e7dd75e-69ef-d06726b87aa8/W10PRO_BASIC/W10PRO_BASIC.vmdk was not found

I´m trying to deploy a new VM from an existing template,

When looking at the datastore, I can see the following related files , but there is nothing like flat.vmdk

Hi @a_p_ ,

Thanks for your comments, in fact the root store path was the issue, I just updated it and works.

Tks.
