Enableng VNC port in ESXi6.7 firewall

Hi Guys,

I'm running ESXi6.7 in free edition, and i'm trying to edit the file /etc/vmware/service.xml in order to add a firewall rule for VNC, as i saw it can be done in other procedures, for ESXi 5.x releases.

Well, i-m not able to modify that file.

I can vi it and write inside but at the moment of savin with :w the error i receive is : Operation not permitted.

Is there any way to do this? ESXi 6.7 cannot enable new firewall rules in general?

How can i enable VNC Console for VMs so?

Thanks!!

Did you run this before?

chmod 644 /etc/vmware/firewall/service.xml

chmod +t /etc/vmware/firewall/service.xml
