Power off your ESXi host and then power it back on.

As daphnissov says, reboot the ESXi host.
I found my self that sometimes when enabling HT it doesn't show as "enabled" until you reboot the host.
Also you can check the status via esxcli on the host, as maybe the vSphere Web client it doesn't show it properly:
esxcli hardware cpu global get
will do and get back to you with the results. I hope it's that easy 🙂 .

To clarify: You will likely need to perform a power cycle on this host and not just a warm reboot.
