ESXi - USB Controller remains in "Enabled/Needs reboot" even after reboot

On my Intel NUC NUC10i7FNH running esxi 6.7 I am trying to enable passthrough for one of my USB controllers (JHL7540 Thunderbolt 3 USB Controller) - I have toggled the passthrough and it is stuck as "Enabled / Needs reboot"  no matter the number of time the ESXi is rebooted.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hello!

I hope that you were able to solve the issue, however please check our Knowledge Base in case you still need some help. Maybe this solution would be helpful: https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/774

I have a similar issue on a NUC10i3FNK running VMware ESXi, 7.0.3, 19482537.

Toggling passthrough first says:

Passthrough has been enabled for JHL7540 Thunderbolt 3 USB Controller [Titan Ridge 2C 2018].

but then after the refresh it remains "Disabled".

Did you ever find a solution for this?

Actually the following resolved it. Use at your own risk, ymmv etc...

Host >> Configuration >> System >> Advanced System Settings
Here, change `VMkernel.Boot.disableACSCheck` to `TRUE`
