    Hi All,

    Can you please help, how can we recover the ESXi server Root password other than Rebuild of ESXi.

    Please suggest.

    Reinstalling the ESXi host is the only supported way to reset a password on ESXi.

    But there are a few workarounds. https://communities.vmware.com/thread/571654

    You cant recover it, but you can reset it to blank with a bootable linux iso, then log into it and reset it.

    Its not a supported way, but it does work
