ESXi 6.7 U2 not recommended?

I'm getting ready to patch from ESXi 6.7 EP 06  to 6.7 U2, but I notice that all my hosts are showing as compliant, so I look at VUM and the U2 udpates has a information box that says "Release(s) ESXi 6.7 U2 are not recommended because less hardware are supported than with current installed release."

What exactly does this mean, and how do I get past this?

My hosts are fairly recent Dell R730s with supported hardware that's all on the HCL.

I've not seen such a notification myself yet, and if the hardware is supported, then I'd say that you can ignore the message.

Since you are patching from an Update 1 build to Update 2, please consider using the Dell image to patch the hosts, since it may contain updated drivers, and tools.
