ESXi 6.5 and NFS Hardware Acceleration

Hi,

I've got a file server running ubuntu server 16.04 LTS exporting an NFS share to my two ESXi nodes. But when I mount this share on an ESXi I see "Hardware Acceleration: Not Supported". I've searched on the web and didn't find anything about this.

I've just found that some NAS need a VAAI plugin for NFS Hardware Acceleration but I never find a such kind of plugin for ubuntu server (or other os).

Is there a way to activate the "Hardware Acceleration" on a simple NFS server (not a branded NAS) ?

No, there is not when using Ubuntu or some other OS for your NAS, because it offloads no commands. It's just a basic NFS server.
