Is anyone out there running the folloiwng environment (or something similiar)
esxi 6.5 (5310538)
HPe c7000 with BL 460c Gen 9 blades
MSA 2040 (GL225R003) - 10k SAS Disks in RAID 5
2TB Volume creted on storage and presented to the esxi hosts via 10GB iSCSI
esxi configure to connect to storage via 10GB iSCSI (Using Software iSCSI - do not have an iSCSI adapter)
I created a test Windows 2012 VM with one CPU and 4GB RAM and a single 40GB disk.
I logon to the VM and I use diskspd.exe to stress test the environment and I get the results below.
Could you simply run this test and tell me what you get?
Could you also run performance monitor and tell me what you get for the Physical Disk counter "Average Disk sec/Transfer"
Performance monitor is bugging me as this counter has a vaule of 0.262 where Microsft says a good disk setup should return a vaule around 0.005
