ESXi 5.5 Windows Server Installer - Cannot see disk

Hey there!

I have a PC with ESXi 5.5 installed. I was trying to install a Windows Server VM.

But when I get to the part where I can choose the disk the VMDisk won't show up.

I've read that I have to install the paravirtual scsi drivers. So I connected the windows vmwaretools iso to the vm.

But it didn't worked. I keep getting the same message that there aren't any signed drivers in the vmtools.

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you in advance.

Which Windows version are you trying to install ?

When installing a VM you have to select an OS version. vSphere then selects a hardware combination which is useful for that OS, So if you just follow the defaults you should 'see' a virtual disk.
