We have a legacy vCenter 6.7 U3 VCSA with embedded PSC running ESXi 6.0 U2.
We are planning on building a new vCenter 7.0 U2 with ESXi 7.0 U2 and vSAN.
It appears we cannot use XVM (Advanced Cross Center vMotion) as this requires source vCenter and ESXi hosts to be on 6.5+.
The matrix in this article states that vMotion is supported via ELM with vCenter 6.5 U2+ source and targets, and even shows vMotion is support between different versions of vCenter (e.g. vSphere 6.0 U3 source to vSphere 6.5 U2 target).
Can anybody advise whether vMotion will work with ELM with our configuration? (vCenter 6.7 U3 and ESXi 6.0 U2 to vCenter 7.0 U2 and ESXi 7.0 U2). Or will we have to update our source hosts to 6.5+?
