Does vCLS runs HA when the vCenter is shutdown without the HA on?

Hi all.

I'm using vSphere 7.0 U2, and I have questions about vCLS.

I've added three hosts to the vCenter, and the hosts are added to the cluster.

I don't remember whether I turned on HA or not when I made a cluster.

However, there is a problem that the vCenter does not turn on. (The power-on button is grayed out)

It is important whether the HA is working until the reinstallation of the vCenter

Assuming that HA is not turned on in the cluster, doesn't vCLS move the VMs to another host?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards.

vCLS doesn't restart VMs for you. HA restarts VMs. vCLS is, at the moment, only part of the DRS process, and just a small part to be fair. If you want to check if HA is configured, you can always go to the commandline on a host and check the FDM.log.

Thank you for reply!

As far as I know the HA feature is supported as of vSphere 7.0 U2. is not it?
