Distributed Switch -> DVUplinks -> Vendor configuration

I can't seem to find any documentation regarding the "Vendor configuration" Allowed/Disabled selection in the DVUplinks settings page.

What function does the "Vendor configuration" setting control? (re: VDS 6.5)

As this is an uplink override setting, Vendor configuration allows any physical switch vendor specific configuration to be updated
