Is there a VC setting to disable automatic MAC change when conflicts are found?
Instead of changing all the NICs from dynamic to manual.

and you can't block vcenter from changing it afaik by the way, you can set a manual mac address for a VM, but that is it
We have many suspended VMs that we clone for training proposes
but why is it a problem then that the mac address changes?
