Different values on vSphere and server monitor

vSphere monitor shows high RAM consumption while on server directly RAM usage is very low.

On server it is 3,1 GB and on vSphre it is 14 GB.

Any idea ?

you are looking at "active memory" which is the metric that shows what is actively being written to or read from. Also, the metric is in KB or in MB, not in GB as you seem to assume. So actively the VM is using 14MB at the moment, not GB.

Thanks for reply !

I thought there is KB (kilobyte) and capital M (5M, 10M, 15M, 20M) as a mark for million. So in this case 14,722,004 KB (14 million 722 thousands 004) which is 14 GB.

It is not very possible that productive server uses 14 MB of RAM. On server performance monitor is says 3,1 GB which is okay for that state.

Even if we ignore this below, 14 MB or GB on vSphere monitor is not same as 3,1 GB on server performance monitor,

So why is this difference ?
