Deploying OVF template stucks

Hi all,

I recently upgraded our vCenter to 6.7 and also some of our Hosts to ESXi 6.7. Now I wanted to deploy an OVF template of the Teradici Management console 3.1.2 and the Tasks "Import OVF package" and "deploy OVF template" are stucking at 0% for over 12 hours. I already restarted the vCenter and the issue still persists. What can be the error?

Hi eddilimp,

Can you try to connect to a ESXi host directly and deploy the OVF template from there to see if that works.

Rick

I just tried that but when I come to the Point to choose the Network, I can't choose a Network. The Dropdown menu doesn't work.

You can try to use PowerCLI to import the OVF as well.

You can use the cmdlet Import-vApp. See:

Import-VApp

When I click on your link, I get:

Access Denied

You don't have permission to access "http://www.vmware.com/support/developer/windowstoolkit/wintk40u1/html/Import-VApp.html" on this server.

Try this one:

VMware vSphere 5.1

Should also work for 6.7.

It's now in the PowerShell gallery. Install-Module VMware.PowerCLI

VMware Support told me that this function doesn't work in the HTML5 Client. I should use powerCLI oder the Flash Client. But Flash Client is not working at me at all.

If your Flex client isn't working for deploying an OVF, then that's something you can fix.

The Flex Client isn't working at all. With no browser (IE, Firefox, Chrome). After Login I only can see a loading circle.

You may have a broken plug-in causing it to barf when loading. The web client log would show more. Or just open a new SR with VMware.
