Delete esxi from cluster

Hello everyone,

I have a cluster with 5 esxi. I want to delete one esxi from my cluster. On this cluster, have just one vm (turn off). Actually, this esxi is on "maintenance mode".

So my question is, i just need to right clik on this esxi and choose  "delete from inventory" or

Choose "Connexion" than "disconnect" to finish by "delete from inventory" ?

Thanks for help.

Hi there

if you are not longer going to manage that ESXi in that vcenter server:

Once in mantenance mode, remove it. (can go with disconnect then remove, but its the same...)

If you plan on keep managing that ESXi in vCenter.

Put it in Mantenance mode, and then move it outside the cluster. Then you will have your desired cluster composition and still be able to manage the esxi with vcenter.

Cheers

You don't need to reapply anything.
