Creating users in VCSA 6.7 with acces to specified Host or VM only.

Hi guys.

I'm trying to give acces to a user to vmware in vcenter 6.7 but not as admin in vcenter, just to a specified vm machine, or if that's not possible to the host where the vm machine resides. but I'm unable to find such option.

I have found the possibility to make restricted account, with only read / view rights. this users can only view the machine. also with extra added console acces they can see the screen etc..

But now I want to make an acount that can do everything but only on specified vm, or on specified host.

Is this possible ?

Hi @Janmail ,

This is definitely possible. Just go to the VM inside the VM folder view, go to Permissions -> Add permission and enter the user you want to have access to the VM, and assign a role that you see fit for this.

Make sure that the user is not also receiving permissions higher up the inventory hierarchy.

If you have any other questions please let me know.
