Configure NIC Teaming, Failover on a vSphere Standard Switch

Hi everyone,

Failover works perfect and the 2nd NIC takes over the traffic when NIC 1 failed.

After NIC 1 comes online again the Hosts instantly switches back to NIC 1.

That is what it should do.

BUT:

Is it possible to delay the change (Failover) back to the online coming NIC for about 1min.

Problem is, that the routing is not so fast as the HOST and the NIC change.

kind regards,

michael

Please see whether changing the default fallback delay of 100ms to a higher value solves your issue.

Host -> Manage -> System -> Advanced Settings -> Net.TeamPolicyUpDelay

Ok, that sounds great.

I have to test this.

Thank you very much.

Hello,

i tested this...and im disappointed...

Its not working in VMware ESXi, 6.7.0, 15160138 ..

However....the Host switches back in 100ms not in 60000ms as it should be expected and like its configured...

cheers
