Publication Name : vSphere Virtual Machine Administration

Product/Version : VMware vSphere/6.7

Question :

Hi,

Cant find vApp tab on "edit settings" page on VMware vSphere  6.7  (Regular machine- not vApp).

Should i search for the vApp options of a VM on somewhere else?

Thanks.

Hello,

The topic you refer to describes how the procedure is done in the vSphere Web Client and not in the vSphere Client.

The feature parity between vSphere Client and the vSphere Web Client is a continuous effort, still in progress. In vSphere 6.7, virtual machine vApp options are not supported in the Edit Settings wizard of the vSphere Client, but only  in the vSphere Web Client.

For more information about the supported features in the vSphere Client, see the Functionality Updates for the vSphere Client  (https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/6.5/rn/vsphere-client-65-html5-functionality-support.html).

3 years late to the party, but you can disable vApp Options in the HTML5 client on the Configure tab for the VM.
