Cant Download vSphere 7

Hello everyone!

I am trying to download vSphere 7 but there is a strange issue!

I am selecting the version 7.0U3G and when I am going to the download page since I dont have the licenses assign to my profile yet, I need to click on Download Trial, everything is fine until here!

When I go to download page it shows vSphere 8 and there is no way to change the version again, even if I go back and select the 7.0U3G when I click on download it goes to vSphere 8 page

Does anyone know about this issue?

Thank you in advance

Seems to be an issue (hopefully not by intention) with the web page, which redirects to version 8 regardless of the selected, or entered version.

It doesn't work , it redirects to the 8 only.

Please if you have any other method please share it.

I can't still  download the 7 trial version, always goes to 8.

I cannot use 8 on some of the older servers as we start to transition from Hyper-V to VMWare.

For learning purposes better use the VMUG Advantage offer of 210US$/year. Really useful, There you find vSphere 7 bits as well as higher editions with HCX.and OS assisted migration functionality. No April 1st joke!

We are not using it for learning process. We are trying to evaluate so we can purchase the licenses if we want to maintain centrally via Vcenter etc.

Yes, there are products for which evaluation makes sense before buy. Evaluation of products with latest release is a common practice.

VMware By Broadcom vSphere 7 has been announced in 2019 and vSphere 8 in 2022.

The trial customerconnect.vmware.com/en/evalcenter?p=vsphere-eval-7 might not be available anymore.

This is the actual list in https://vmugadvantage.onthehub.com

ESXi+vCenter never was Shareware. It's an enterprise product line.

Without the appropriate hardware, product skills and support from your VMware By Broadcom Technical Account Manager, it get's difficult to get a good learning curve. Therefore, for a few products there are hands-on labs published at Evaluate VMware Products.

Good luck!
