Hello,
I have ESXi and today accidenlt we disconncted the hard drive,
Now it doesn't show in the datastore or /vmfs/volumes part and whant to create partition again.
I had checked in the rescue mode and the file was stills, But I think I should import exist vmfs datastore by CLI command.
before the ESXi 6.5, We can add an exist datastore, But in the ESXi 6.7, There is no option for this issue.
Best regards.
Did you reboot the host once post re-connecting the disk? If the disk was abruptly removed, the processes running on that datastore would have gone hung and have to be killed for the datastore to be mounted back.
Cheers,
Supreet
Yeah, Many times, But the problem still exists.
Why in ESXi 6.7, We don't have an option to add exist datastore like past versions?
Did you already check whether the steps in the "Command line" section of https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/1011387 will help.
André
When i enter this command, There is nothing to show.
# esxcli storage vmfs snapshot list
#
please check wether the device is mentioned in kernel.log of the esxi host

I have 3 datastores
one of them is still exist,
I had umount and deleted one of the other datastore to test this problem, Becuase one of the drives have a problem.

But the other datastore is OK and i can't mount it too, Actually there is no choice for chosing vmfs without create partition in this version.
