Can't log in to ESXi 6.5 server

Hi.

I,ve freshly installed ESXi 6.5 on a Fujitsu Primergy TX150 S7 server that has:

  • N.1 Mangement network card 10/100
  • N.2 Gigabit ethernet card

I've connected the Management network card 10/100 to the local LAN and it receive, via DHCP server, a valid IP address.

Then I can ping the server and via web browser I see this:

But there is no way to login to the server.

To do this I use the same account    (root and password ) that I succesfully use to login  directly to the local ESXi server console via keyboard.

Otherwise, if I use vSphere client I see this:

Any idea?

Thanks in advance

Problem solved!

The issue was that I can't use Mangement network card 10/100 of the server but I must use one of the two Gigabit ethernet card.

Thanks to all

Don't use Edge. Put this in the address bar of Chrome or Firefox:  https://<IP_Address>/ui

Do you get anything? You should be using the ESXi embedded host client to connect to ESXi 6.5 and forward and not the legacy C# client like your last screenshot shows.

Hi

I agree with daphnissov, please open with Mozilla Firefox and test again.

also write your user name with fully domain name example: root@domain.local , for making sure about your credential , you can test password is correct or no write on a text file and copy/past , I think your problem should be resolved.
