Hi i am planning on migrating from vcenter server windows to the VCSA in next few maintenance windows. I have some other necessary programs installed on the vcenter server. After i migrate can i power on and use the old server without interfering with anything? Long as i uninstall the vcenter server components?
After migration from vcenter and removing vcenter.
No problema use the old server

Hmmmm,
at the end of the migration process the new VCSA took the original IP, Certs, Hostname, Computer Account (AD) and become online. The old windows host will be automaticly shutdown.
So for reusing your old windows host you have to take care a couple of things.

Ok. Well i was planning on uninstalling a few things after get the VCSA client going. What would be the major concerns when doing this. Thanks for your input. This community has been very helpful with my newbie questions.
Instead of trying to uninstall and such, I would simply reimage the old server. Or, even better (if it has enough resources) set it up as another ESXi host and bring it into the vCenter for use with VMs. Provided it's doesn't have too old of processors (on the 'unsupported' list for the version you are on).
