I have a couple windows 2008 servers of which are running low on disk space and noticing the following file (vminst.log) in c:\windows\temp that is over 30gb.
That log is for the VMware Tools installation and the issue you are facing is that the log is growing exponentially because it got locked by a process and it cannot be deleted automatically by the application. Please follow the next KB that should fix your issue: VMware Knowledge Base
