As our policy, all datastores should be connected to ESXi hosts via Layer 2 non-routable network. Surprisingly, found a Datastore mounted via an IP in a routable network. I have following two questions if you can please help me out:
1. Should we set up a mechanism to prevent ESXi mount a Datastore via routable IP's? and how?
2. What issues could it be if we mount a Datastore via a routable IP instead of an IP on no-routable network?
