Any concerns with upgrading only a single host in a cluster from 6.5 to 6.7u2 for few days, before doing rest of cluster?

Hi guys, I have done this before, but it has been a while.  I have a vsphere 6.5.0patch 02(not u2) cluster, and I updated vcenter to 6.7u2 a few weeks ago.  I now want to do the hosts through update manager, but I basically want to do 1 for a few days and throw a few VMs on it and make sure it is stable, before proceeding to the rest of the cluster.  Are there any concerns in doing it in that method?

Yes, you can do this. But you are going to lose DRS features.

Make sure the test host is not part of any cluster has same hardware configuration that you have in production cluster.

Once you complete you testing successfully after patching you can apply the same patch to other hosts as well.

Why does the test host have to be removed from the cluster?  I was just going to turn DRS off for a few days and make sure any test VMs I vmotion to the host work fine, backup fine, etc.  I know there are concerns with VMs upgrading tools and hardware and then going back to one of the older hosts, but I will keep that from happening until all hosts get updated a few days later

I just suggested because it should not make any issue when HA/DRS trigger, So its better to keep outside cluster.
