Hi,
we use vSphere 6.7.Sometimes we get an alarm because of the CPU utilisation of a VM.
Is it not possible to edit the Default alarm definitions?
Or is it possible to set another Definition instead of the default?
Regards
Dennis
Default alarms you can’t change. You have to create another one which you like to create based on your requirement.

Thanks.
I have create on top Level (vCenter object) a new alarm definition.
Under the datacenter object i have a folder.
How can i delete the default definition and set my new one?

Default definition alarms you can’t delete except, disable. You can just disable the alarms which you want to disable and set new alarms which you created manually.
Ah, ok.
I have on my top level define a new definition. (CPU-Usage VM (Citrix XenApp))
Then i can deactivate the default one (CPU-Usage VM).
But that means that the new definition is active to all.
Is it not possible to change the linking of the default definitions?
Eg. the default is set to all but not to folder xxx. In folder xxx i will use my own definition.
No. we can’t change the default definitions. you can use your own created alarms and apply as you want.
