We have 3 6.5 hosts, all are using the Software ISCSI adapter running on 1G interfaces.
All 3 hosts have two VMKernel adapters each with it's own IP address connected to a vSwitch (iSCSI0 and iSCSI1).
There are two physical adapters vmnic3 and vmnic7 (both 1Gig). vmnic3 is active on iSCSI0 and vmnic7 is active on iSCSI1.
I have just added an additional 10G card with two interfaces to each of the 3 hosts (vmnic12, vmnic13)
I have a mix of 1gig and 10gig arrays. The 1gig and 10gig arrays are completely separated by separate switching and networking.
How should I go about adding the 10Gig interfaces to the ISCSI software adapter?
Should I simply add the adapters (vmnic12, vmnic13) to the existing vSwitch currently handling the 1Gig SCSI or should I create a separate vSwtich/kernel adapters for the 10Gig adapters?
