A warning message about fault tolerance

Hello there!

I got a warning message when turn on fault tolerance feature.

It says "Datastore is being used for both primary and secondary VM's disks, which is not recommended."

Is that mean I have to create two datastores to store primary and secondary VM's disks?

Is there any influences in case of one datastore?

How to disable this message If that can be ignored  ?

My ESXI version is 6.5 with update 3, and datastore is NFS shared storage that provide by Nutanix.

All it means is that FT can't protect you from a datastore failure, if you are OK with that then ignore the message.

Hi vbondzio, thanks for reply.

Is it possible to disable this warning message?

I just had a quick look but I do not see a way to disable that warning ... it seems we are ignoring the check for vSAN so it would make sense to treat NFS similarly (due to abstraction of locality) ... If you have a TAM, please feed that back over them. I'll mention it to the FT team but can make absolutely no promises.
