Hello guys good evening, I was encountered this error on my host machine when I updated my plugin for Vmware.

I found this from the log:
[2017-11-24T11:26:36.944+08:00] [WARN ] vice-extension-mngr-pool-147 70000578 100021 200004 c.vmware.vise.vim.directory.extensions.DirectoryExtensionManager  Could not download bundle fromhttps://PC243.SRM.com:443/vmw/imagebuilder/httpd/autodeploy-modules-plugins.zip: java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 503 for URL: https://PC243.SRM.com:443/vmw/imagebuilder/httpd/autodeploy-modules-plugins.zip

And I tried to copy and paste the zip address to web URL, and encounter the error.

What did I do?

I used the Vmware sample plugin for registering firstly, and it was well done.

Next, I tried to update the plug-in. My steps were unregistering the original one and then registering the new one.

All I change in new version plugin only the 'hello' string in html and the version.

Then, when I checked the plugin on vSphere Client (vCenter Server version is 6.5), I found out the version updated, but the plugin was not installed successfully.

Could anyone figure out what error is this? I have tried to search this error on Google, it seems no one encountered this error after updating the plugin.

Hope guys could help me ~~~ Thank you!!

Hi,

Which plugin did you remove (srm/autodeploy)? Does this error shows for Webclient?

Let me see if I can test the same in my environment.

If its SRM plugin,

Is it a fresh install or Upgrade of SRM 6.0? If you upgrading you can find more information in Upgrade section for SRM 6.0 documentation. (Site Recovery Manager 6.0 Documentation Center).

  • If you upgraded Site Recovery Manager from 5.5.x or 5.8.x to 6.0.x, log in to vSphere Web Client, or if you are already connected to vSphere Web Client, log out of vSphere Web Client and log in again. The upgraded Site Recovery Manager extension appears in vSphere Web Client. You might need to clear the browser cache for the upgrade to appear in vSphere Web Client. If the upgrade still does not appear, restart the vSphere Web Client service.

Hope this helps.
