vsantraces folder

     Hi,

I have a 4 node vsan cluster.

I also have some FC datastores that I want to get rid of but each time I try to unmount, I have the error that some hosts have it busy.

I see that on the datastores giving the busy error there is the vsantraces.

I really need those big datastores deleted...

Can I run:

esxcli vsan trace set -p DatastoreName/foldername

so each node can use another datastore as a vsantraces folder?

what do you suggest?

Yes, using "vsan trace set" is the way to go indeed. you change the location and then can delete the datastore... Also described in this kb: https://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=20691...
