hello guys
we are using vmware esxi as our hypervisor solution. it work nice.
we have online conferencing service *SaaS", we recently want add recording feature to our meeting service. it's allow our customer record their meeting and the recording file will be save on our data center storage for specific period of time.
i know i must calculate capacity and performance and consider on design section, but between various SDS (MS S2D, ceph, starwinds) in market Is vSAN a right choice for us? max storage will be 1PB
thanks
Anytime you ask this question on a VMware forum you will of course get a biased response. Having said that, we have multiple customers using vSAN to store video on, or for streaming services. The question of course indeed is what kind of performance is expected (throughput/iops/latency etc), and what kind of hardware are you planning on using.
