vSAN datastore and vcenter

I have two questions on the vcenter for the VSAN cluster architecture, and I hope someone will shed light on this.

  1. Should we have to keep the vcenter away from its vSAN datastore? if not, my next question is
  2. Can one vcenter manage both 2-Node ROBO and an HQ's 5 -node vSAN datacenter? If so, which data center would be ideal for placing the vcenter? Is it ROBO or 5-node cluster?

I would place vCenter on the largest cluster, as with a 2 node environment a single host failure could impact vCenter. With 5 hosts the chances of vCenter being impacted are less. There's nothing wrong with placing VCSA on vSAN, we have many customers doing this, in fact, VCF even uses vSAN for the Management Cluster.
