vSAN Performace View

i have a 5 host vSAN cluster and ive noticed since the last 2 hours the performace tab on IOPS, Latency etc etc there are gaps of 5 minutes with no data. ive attached a image.

@M4T These gaps in logging can occur for various reasons including:

- Current stats Master (identifiable via Cluster > Monitor > vSAN > Skyline/vSAN Health > Performance Service > Stats Master) is unable to commit data to the vsan stats Object (this can itself be for numerous reasons).

- Current stats Master is not receiving the local data from the other nodes in the cluster to persist to the stats Object,

- Current stats Master is not communicating with vCenter properly and thus can't display data for those intervals.

 

I would advise starting with a general check of Skyline/vSAN Health and if nothing obvious then checking the node that is stats Master (e.g. vmkernel.log and vsanmgmt.log).
