Hello,
on our vSAN Clusters (3 Clusters with Fujitsu 2540) can't read the vSAN Healtch Check the firmware version of Controller.
VMware write that vendor tool should be installed - all hosts were installed with latest Fujitsu OEM Image.
All Hosts are updated with VUM to actual patch level.
Firmware on controller is the correct 13.00.*
I have no idea what happens 😞
All vSANClusters before based on DELL Servers. I never seen this problem before.
Does anyone have hints for me?
Thanks,
Mike
For all my sollution:
The vSAN "Configuration Assist" proposes the installation of additional SCSI tools to determine the controller firmware.
But the needed VIB for Avago based CP400i requires ESXi acceptance level "CommunitySupported" - this was the problem.
I had to set all ESXi host to this level.
The VIB could be installed and all is fine.
I find an official VMware recomented tool with this level problematic, isn't it?
best regards,
Mike
Hi mschubi
Please can you have a look at this article. It is the same issue but with Lenovo IBM servers.
vSAN Health and Controller firmware N/A | Virtual Allan
It seems that the storage controller management tools are not installed and are not part of the customized Fujitsu image as well.
You will have to download the tools and install them manually to solve the problem.
